About Gipsy Trail Club
Gipsy Trail Club is a nonprofit located in Carmel Hamlet, New York, located one hour from New York City, and is home to over 1,000 acres of forests, lakes, ponds, and streams. Gipsy Trail Club is a private membership community that was founded in 1928, which provides its members a number of activities, including hiking, fishing, ice skating, skiing, tennis, horseback riding, sailing, and many other outdoor activities. Additional events and activities for the club’s members take place throughout the year, including a children’s summer camp focused on outdoor activities and camping, book clubs, and seasonal activities for children and families.
The members of Gipsy Trail Club are dedicated to the stewardship of the natural areas and habitats of this pristine land and actively work to preserve and protect Gipsy Trail Club’s 1,000 acres.
Going Solar with RE-volv
Gipsy Trail Club went solar with RE-volv through a 23 kW solar system that will supply their property with clean, renewable solar energy. By going solar with RE-volv, Gipsy Trail Club was able to save $12,500 on their electricity costs and avoid more than 1,088,000 pounds of emissions from entering the atmosphere throughout the life of the solar system.
As Gipsy Trail Club pays back RE-volv for the cost of the solar system, their monthly solar lease payments will go into RE-volv’s Solar Seed Fund, a pay-it-forward model for solar that allows us to help more community-serving nonprofits across the country go solar.
