Trinity + St. Peter's Episcopal Church, located in San Francisco, California, has roots dating back to 1849. The two churches Trinity and St. Peter’s merged in 2012, serving their congregation that is 50 members strong. They also serve the surrounding neighborhoods with various community services such as the church’s feeding program, which cooks and provides food to local senior centers, and their monthly neighborhood clean ups. The church building is also a very popular venue for local concerts.

The church’s 19 kW system, once installed, will produce 93% of their energy needs, saving them $260,975 over the system lifetime. Senior Warden Mike Chambers shared that the church is excited to go solar to invest savings into their community programs. He explained that faith groups are all facing increasing costs, while giving and church attendance has dropped. Solar is a solution that can benefit all aspects of their mission.
