Placentia Presbyterian Church has been a part of the community for over 112 years. From ordaining one of the first women elders to sending members to march in Selma during the civil rights movement, their legacy is rooted in justice, service, and showing up for others. Placentia’s mission is simple: “Engaging all ages to joyfully follow Jesus together.” That means living like Jesus—serving with compassion, welcoming all, and meeting the moment we’re in with hope and action.

In 2025, Placentia made the decision to transition to solar energy, allowing them to reduce their carbon footprint and save significant money on their energy bills.
The church will save $466,000+ on energy bills over the system’s lifetime that will go towards their community outreach initiatives like providing food to local families twice a month, supporting more than 100 students at a nearby middle school with clothing and supplies, and operating a transitional shelter that has housed vulnerable neighbors since 1989.
