About the campaign
Over the past two years, University of Oregon students have been working tremendously hard to bring solar energy to Eugene. When we are not in classes, we are working with RE-Volv Solar, a non-profit based in San Francisco. RE-volv raises money to bring renewable energy to community-serving nonprofit organizations like homeless shelters, schools, community centers, and houses of worship.
We have engaged with a local non-profit here in Eugene: Independent Environments Inc. to help them reduce their operating costs. Independent Environments provides services and support for those with disabilities. With our solar installation, Independent Environments will be able to save at least 15% on their utility bills and focus their resources on more crucial features throughout their organization.
