Our Theory of Change
We believe that everyone should have the ability to support and spread clean energy.
So we created a new way for people to take action. It's a pretty simple idea. Through an innovative solar financing model, these nonprofits immediately save on their electricity costs. As these organizations pay us back, we reinvest the money into more solar projects in communities across the country. This creates a revolving fund for solar energy that continually perpetuates itself building more and more solar.
It's a pay-it-forward model for solar energy. We call it the Solar Seed Fund.

Nonprofits save on average 15% or more on their electricity bills when they go solar with RE-volv. Through a Power Purchase Agreement or solar lease, RE-volv provides solar energy financing for community-serving nonprofits across the country.
As nonprofits pay back RE-volv, those payments are reinvested in our Solar Seed Fund, a one-of-a-kind, pay-it-forward revolving fund for solar for nonprofits.

Founded in 2011, RE-volv is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps fellow nonprofits across the country go solar. Over the last decade, we have brought solar to 50+ community-serving nonprofits in 17 states, equaling 3.4+ Megawatts of solar!
