About Villa del Arroyo

Villa del Arroyo is a mobile home park located in Montclair, California that is owned and managed by Augusta Communities LLC, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing opportunities to families of modest means. Augusta Communities manages housing communities in Southern California, four of which have gone solar with RE-volv! 

Villa del Arroyo Resident Programs 

Villa del Arroyo has 240 spaces and is home to 590+ residents, of which 17% are children and 24% are seniors. Approximately 78% of the residents have moderate to low household incomes. 

As a nonprofit organization, Augusta provides many services to the residents at Villa del Arroyo, to help build community and improve quality of life. Villa del Arroyo offers many activities and programs for free to the youth of the park, including summer and winter activity packets, school supply giveaways, and a college scholarship program for graduating high school residents. A community garden is also available on the property where community members can plant vegetables and herbs. Other community amenities that Villa del Arroyo provides includes a Free Little Library where residents can exchange books. 

How Villa del Arroyo Will Utilize Their Solar Savings 

Villa del Arroyo will save $4,600,000 on their electricity bills over the life of the solar system. With the savings, Villa del Arroyo can invest this money back into the many programs, services, and youth programs that Villa del Arroyo hosts for the residents of their community. By switching to renewable energy, Villa del Arroyo will also eliminate more than 34 million pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting 18,400 acres of trees.
